She was rescued from poor conditions.
She was totally full of fleas, but the problem is solved,
and her fur is growing back but slow!

Now she searches desperately for a new home, where they
can spend their twilight years.
She is dog and cat friendly, house trained.
Unfortunately, it is not like alone,
but she's enough if a dog is

Rouchs Anverwandlung und tendenzielles Verschwinden hinter seiner Figur ist vor diesem Hintergrund kritisch zu sehen.

Und dennoch stellt sich immer wieder der Eindruck ein, die Rede des Protagonisten schieße über das ihr zugedachte Ziel hinaus. Edward G. Robinsons in rascher Folge wiederholten Wortkaskaden zeugen von einer überschüssigen Energie und Expressivität, die nicht der Anlage des Films, sondern der Präsenz ihres Hauptdarstellers geschuldet ist. Edward G. Robinson hieß in Wirklichkeit Oumarou Ganda und sollte wenige Jahre später in den Autorenpantheon des frühen afrikanischen Kinos aufsteigen – neben Sembène, Djibril Diop Mambéty, Moustapha Alassane und Safi Faye.
